OAK HILL'S EARLY CHILDHOOD, PRE-PRIMARY AND CORE K PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED FOR YOUNG CHILDREN AT RISK FOR LEARNING DIFFERENCES
For parents of young children diagnosed with speech-language delays, the preschool years can be a frightening time filled with feelings of hopelessness and uncertainty. The fear that their child will never be able to learn, socialize and make attachments weighs heavy on their hearts and minds. For most of these parents, hopeless and helpless are words that best describe how they feel.
Oak Hill Academy is a beacon of hope and pathway to success for the children of these special families. Under the supervision of Karen Crance, MS, CCC-SLP, and Joya Jacob, MS, CCC-SLP, the cornerstone of Oak Hill Academy’s Early Childhood, Pre-Primary and Core K programs is a specially designed curriculum model formulated for the speech-language delayed child. Oak Hill’s comprehensive program is aimed at helping students, families and the school, work together for a successful early intervention education experience. The heart of Oak Hill Academy’s curriculum lies in its multisensory teaching strategies that take two-dimensional concepts and bring them to life in three-dimensional, discovery learning opportunities.
