The objective of Oak Hill Academy's Middle School program is to work toward the successful remediation of a student's learning differences.  Many students continue to benefit from this modified academic environment because it allows them to demonstrate their capacity for knowledge without experiencing the interference of organizational and/or academic skill deficits. Emphasis is placed on strengthening reading, writing, spelling and math skills, and results in the optimal remediation of each individual's learning differences.

Students are encouraged to learn more about their learning differences so they can develop the necessary life-long skill of advocating for oneself. Having a clear understanding of their strengths and weaknesses empowers and equips them for charting a successful course for life beyond middle and high school, and eventually adult life.

THE UPPER SCHOOL OBJECTIVE

The objective of Oak Hill Academy's Upper School program is to provide the often necessary extension of our middle school for students who continue to have need for this specialized learning environment. The goal of the program is the eventual remediation of a student's learning differences, while allowing them to demonstrate their capacity for knowledge without experiencing the interference of existing organizational and/or academic skill deficits. As with the middle school program, emphasis is placed on strengthening reading, writing, spelling and math skills, and eventually leads to the remediation and/or establishment of compensatory skills breaking down the barriers of learning differences.

Students are encouraged to learn more about their learning differences so they can develop the necessary life-long skill of advocating for oneself. Having a clear understanding of their strengths and weaknesses empowers and equips them for charting a successful course for life beyond high school and into adult life.
