Oak Hill Academy is a private special school for intelligent, talented and gifted children who are at risk, or exhibit a language and/or learning difference. Admissions Procedure for New Students The admission process serves to identify students who will benefit from Oak Hill Academy’s strategic and individualized programming. Acceptance of new students is based on the determination that Oak Hill Academy can address and meet the academic and developmental needs of the student. If enrollment is an option for the student and space is available, the registration process begins. If enrollment is an option and space is not available, Oak Hill Academy will place the student on the waiting list. Oak Hill Academy uses a rolling admission process so that accepted students are registered as placements become available. Prospective Student Admissions Procedure - Request application packet - Complete forms and submit to Admissions Director with $100.00 non-refundable application fee - Application reviewed by Admissions Department for appropriateness of placement - A two-day student visit is scheduled if it is determined that Oak Hill Academy may be a good choice for the applicant - Student visits are typically two consecutive days - Following the student visit, the Admissions Department reviews assessments and diagnostic information summarizing the student’s two-day visit - Parents are notified by the Admissions Director about the school’s decision regarding the student’s placement - Upon acceptance, and pending space availability, the student registration process begins New Student Registration Procedure - Complete all necessary enrollment registration forms and submit to Admissions Director with $1000.00 non-refundable registration fee within 14 days of receiving enrollment packet - To secure placement, all registration forms and the $1000.00 fee must be received by the specified deadline - Parents of new students will attend a mandatory Parent Orientation prior to the first day of the upcoming school year Fee Schedule for 2008 – 2009 School Year Registration Fee: Each Student $1,000.00 Activity Fee: Each Student $300.00 Yearly Tuition: Early Childhood and Half Day Pre Primary $9,000.00 Full Day Pre Primary And Core K $10,800.00 Core T1 through Middle School $13,500.00 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ For information about admissions please contact: Julie Chapman Admissions Director 214-353-8804 jchapman@oakhillacademy.org The Oak Hill Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
