PARENT COMMUNICATION RESOURCES

Home and parent communication is important to us.  Our goal is to keep you informed throughout the year.  In addition to ongoing communication from your student's teacher, you will find the following tools valuable resources for keeping up with the busy school year.

• THURSDAY GO-FOLDER: Each Thursday be sure to check your child's backpack or messenger bag for information about upcoming events.
• SCHOOL OFFICE: You will find copies of forms, flyers and other written communication in the school office.  Also know that you are always welcome to call Leslie Mendenhall, Director of Communication, with any question -- big or small.
• WE-M@IL:  Oak Hill Academy utilizes a weekly email program designed to streamline communication between the school and parents.  Every Wednesday we will send out the weekly WE-M@IL detailing important information regarding school activities.  Parents are encouraged to save their weekly WE-M@IL as a quick and ready reference until the following week's issue is delivered.  Information included in WE-M@IL will be important reminders, sport schedules, OHA news, volunteer opportunities, Parent Council updates and more.
• WEBSITE: www.oakhillacademy.org serves as a great resource for up-to-date information including a detailed school calendar and downloadable forms.  Parents also have quick access to other communication tools through the website home page links including our RenWeb and our school library system.  Be sure to bookmark our website if you have not already done so.
• RENWEB:  Provides parents with the most up-to-date school directory listing, information regarding their student's schedule and academic information, including report cards and transcripts for Upper School students.
• RENWEB PARENT LOG-IN:  Follow the 9 easy steps below to log in and set up your family's RenWeb account.
  • Visit the school website at www.oakhillacademy.org
  • Click on the Parent Login tab on the left side of the home page
  • RenWeb Parents Web page will appear
  • Choose the tab on the right -- First Time Users
  • Enter your email address -- it is important that you enter the email address Oak Hill has on file for your family
  • Click on the New Parent Login tab at the bottom
  • RenWeb will email your family login password
  • Once you receive the password, return to the RenWeb Parents Web page and login under the Parents Tab

CARPOOL SCHEDULE & PROCEDURES

Morning

Morning carpool is from 8:05 to 8:30. Drivers will enter the OHA parking lot from Rosa Road on the south side of the campus.  An OHA staff member will be stationed at the second crosswalk to unload students from the passenger side of the vehicle.  Students will then be directed to the library or gym, where a supervising teacher is on duty.  If you are walking your student into the building please park in the visitor parking area or the church parking lot on the north side of the campus.  Students who arrive before 8:05 must go to Morning Extended Care in the Library.  (Click here for Extended Care information)  Students arriving after 8:35 are Tardy and must be signed in at the school office by an adult.

Afternoon

There are three carpools each afternoon:

1. PRISM A, Pre-Primary, Core 1, 2 and 3 -- Monday - Thursday @ 3:00.  Friday @ 2:00
2. PRISM B, PRISM C, Core 4, 5 and Middle School -- Monday - Thursday @ 3:20.  Friday @ 2:20
3. Upper School -- Monday - Thursday @ 3:40.  Friday @ 2:40

Parents picking up students in Carpool 2 or 3 must wait until the previous carpool is complete before entering the carpool lanes.  Drivers will enter the parking lot from Rosa Road on the south side of the campus.  Once your vehicle enters the gate, you may pull into either of the two lanes.  When you reach the first stop sign and cross walk you will merge into one lane and proceed to the next available loading station marked by a traffic cone.  Your student/s will be loaded into the vehicle from the passenger side by and OHA staff member.  You will exit the campus by making a RIGHT TURN ONLY on to Midway Road. Parents who would like to park and pick up their student must park their vehicle in the church parking lot on the north side of the campus.  Students will not be dismissed until they have been signed out in the office by an authorized adult driver.

We appreciate your care and caution when driving through our campus at all times of the day.  For the safety of our students, when on campus PLEASE AVOID CELL PHONE USE WHEN YOUR VEHICLE IS MOVING. This includes the use of bluetooth and other hands-free communication devices.  Distractions can cause accidents!

"BROWN BAG LUNCH BLUES" LUNCH PROGRAM

MONDAY!

Featuring your choice of a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich or 8-piece Chicken Nuggets.  Each "Chick-fil-A Monday Meal" is $4.00

Each lunch includes your choice of sandwich or nuggets, Lay's Potato or Dorito chips, fresh fruit and 8 oz. fruit juice or water.

  PIZZA FRIDAY'S

Gluten-free homemade pizza is also available!

Featuring one slice of pizza, 8 oz. fruit juice or water, fresh vegetable sticks and fresh fruit. 

Each one-slice "Pizza Friday Meal" is $3.00. Additional slices of pizza are $1.00 each.
